Frequently asked questions

Connect.fiiapp.es is the learning and collaborative platform for the Public Technical Cooperation programmes and projects in which FIIAPP participates. It is an LMS (Learning Management System), that is, a comprehensive system to manage the entire e-learning process.

When you sign up for an activity in Connect, an automatic e-mail is sent with your username and password. The username is always the email address with which you registered for the activity.

To log in, click on the button “Log in” located in the top left-hand area of the platform.

If you do not have an @fiiapp email address, go to the “Other emails” block, click on the button and fill in the fields that are displayed with your username and password (which have been sent to you by email).

When accessing the platform for the first time, you will be asked to set up a new password and to accept the “Privacy and image rights policies”. Once accepted, you will have access to the activities for which you have registered in the “My activities” tab.

If you cannot remember your password, click on “Forgot password”, enter the email address you used to register, and a password reset link will be sent to you.

Important: The password reset link you receive will only be available for 30 minutes from the moment you receive it. Check your spam folder if you do not receive any messages.

The process of username and password submission is automated. This means that when you are registered on the platform, an e-mail with this information is automatically sent to you. Some of the reasons why you may not be receiving this email:

  1. The email address with which you have registered is incorrect: it has typos, it is not your usual email, etc.
  2. The email may have gone into the “Spam” or “junk mail” inbox. Check those inboxes to verify that they have not entered that way.
  3. If you use an institutional email, your institution may block certain emails. Check with the IT department to determine whether this is happening.

Finally, check whether the institutional coordinator of the activity included your details in the list of participants.

The first time you access to the platform you will be asked to update your profile. You can also include additional information in your profile for networking and knowledge sharing.

On the “Personal Area” page and under the block of your activities, click on your profile and fill in the information you want, e.g. you can introduce yourself with a short text, upload a picture of yourself (png or jpg format) and so on.

If you have any questions related to Connect, are facing technical difficulties or want to give feedback, there are several channels that provide you with quick assistance.

  1. For general questions about navigation, activities and the Connect platform, you can visit our frequently asked question section (FAQs) for which you will not need to log in.
  2. If you are logged into your account and have a question or concern that is not answered in the FAQ, you can always contact our Connect support team via email: connect@fiiapp.es. Our team will reply to you as soon as possible.

To carry out activities within Connect, you will need a computer, tablet or smartphone connected to the internet. Connect works on PCs, Macs, and on Android and Apple mobile devices.

Activities are optimised to be viewed with updated versions of web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Explorer).

The browser you use must have JavaScript code interpretation enabled so that your course progress can be saved, as well as allowing cookies. If you have any doubts, do an internet search with the following words "enable Javascript in (browser used)"

Connect allows you to access it on your own smartphone or tablet through the device’s browser.

Is your username or password not recognised? Click “Forgot Password” to recover your password and log in again. Please check your browser settings to make sure you have the latest version of your browser, and then try to log in again.
